In 2016, Airbus began assembling its narrow-body A320-series passenger jets in Mobile, AL. The Airbus facility receives pre-assembled plane sections from around the world and has attracted numerous subcontractors. Fuselage painting occurs at MAAS Aviation, a facility funded by an NMTC transaction structured and closed by Crescent Growth Capital in 2015.
